About the Conference
The Asian Bioethics Network Conference 2025 will be held on 23 to 24 October 2025, at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Singapore.
This conference brings together bioethics leaders from 15 member states across Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. It features keynote talks and networking opportunities.
Asian Bioethics Network (ABN)
Established in 2021 by Singapore’s Bioethics Advisory Committee (BAC), ABN promotes regional collaboration, resource sharing, and stronger bioethics frameworks. As of March 2025, it includes Australia, Bhutan, Brunei, China, India, Japan, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
Organisers
This conference is jointly organised by the Bioethics Advisory Committee (BAC), Singapore and the Centre for Biomedical Ethics (CBmE), National University of Singapore, with support from the Ministry of Health Singapore.
About the BAC: Appointed in 2000 by the Singapore Cabinet, the BAC addresses ethical, legal, and social issues in biomedical research. It consults widely and advises the government on human biomedical research regulation.
About CBmE: Founded in 2006 at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, CBmE is a hub for research and teaching in biomedical ethics. It focuses on global issues with a strong emphasis on Singapore and Asia, working closely with academic and healthcare partners.

All healthcare professionals, including medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy and allied health practitioners. Healthcare administrators, policymakers, academics and other professionals with an interest in healthcare law and ethics.
